HUHST Faculty Members Invited to Attend the 14th Pacific Rim International Conference on Water Jet Technology


From November 8 to 9, 2025, the 14th Pacific Rim International Conference on Water Jet Technology (PRIC 2025) was successfully held in Beijing. Prof. Hu Dong, Dean of the School of Energy and Electromechanical Engineering at Hunan University of Humanities, Science and Technology (HUHST), and Associate Professor Wang Shu, Associate Dean of the school, attended the conference.

 

Prof. Hu Dong Delivers a Plenary Speech

 

The conference was organized by the Water Jet Technology Association of China (WJTAC) and hosted by the National Key Laboratory of Deep Geothermal Enrichment Mechanisms and Efficient Exploitation, and China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Under the theme of “Towards Greener, Safer and Smarter Water Jet Technology: Sustained Innovation and Development”, it brought together leading scholars, industry experts, and corporate representatives from around the world to explore pathways for technological innovation and international cooperation. The conference covered a range of cutting-edge topics, including principles and equipment of water jet technology, its applications in various fields, surface strengthening technologies, and cavitation jets, providing a high-level platform for international academic exchange.

HUHST will use this conference as an opportunity to align more closely with China’s national strategy of building itself into a leading country in maritime, further advance fundamental research and key technological breakthroughs in related fields, and strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation, thereby injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of its disciplines.
