In the 7th Hunan College Students Mechanical Design Innovation Competition, four entries of HUHST participated. After several sessions such as work display and speech, the “Coin Collecting Machine” supervised by teachers Li Bibo and Zhu Lianchi was awarded the second prize, while the “Effective Coin-sorting Machine” supervised by Hao Qianhua and the “Parcel Automatic Identification and Categorization Device” supervised by Nie Shijun and Ke Shuanghong won the third prizes.
The competition was sponsored by the Educational Department of Hunan Province and undertaken by Changsha University of Science & Technology, involving 178 entries and 677 competitors from Central South University, National University of Defense Technology, Hunan University, etc. It is the second time that HUHST students have participated in the competition. With the achievement gained, HUHST has shown the progress it made in the innovative-ability training of application-oriented students in the field of mechanics.
